How to change a category
Follow the same steps — open the subscription for editing, pick a different option from the Category dropdown, and save. There’s no limit to how many times you can change a category.Where categories show up
- On your subscription cards — the category appears as a small badge next to the renewal date.
- In reports (Business plan) — filter a report to a single category, and see each subscription’s category as a column in the CSV, XLSX, and PDF exports.
Your dashboard’s spending breakdown groups subscriptions by billing cycle (weekly, every 4 weeks, monthly, quarterly, yearly) rather than by category. To break spend down by category, use the category filter on the Reports page.
Custom categories
On the Business plan, you can create your own categories to match how you organize your spending. Custom categories appear alongside the built-in ones in the Category dropdown when you add or edit a subscription.Create a custom category
