SubLedger is designed to get you up and running quickly. By the end of this guide, you’ll have a free account, at least one subscription on your dashboard, and renewal reminders switched on so you’re notified before you’re charged.
No credit card is required to create a free account. The free tier supports up to 10 subscriptions with renewal reminders and dashboard summaries included.
1

Create your free account

Go to app.mysubledger.com. On the sign-in screen, click Sign up, then enter your email address and choose a password — or click Continue with Google.
Use the email address you want to receive renewal reminder notifications on — you can always update it later on your Profile page.
2

Add your first subscription

From the dashboard, click New Entry (or Add Entry). Fill in the details:
  • Name — the service you’re being charged for (e.g., “Netflix”, “Figma”)
  • Cost — the amount you’re charged each billing cycle
  • Billing cycle — weekly, every 4 weeks, monthly, quarterly, or yearly
  • Renewal date — when your next charge is due
Click Save to add the subscription to your dashboard.
3

Switch on renewal reminders

Renewal reminders are off by default — turn them on once and they cover every subscription you track.Click Profile in the top navigation, scroll to the Renewal Reminders card, and toggle Email reminders on. Then use the Remind me dropdown to choose your lead time: 1, 3, 7, 14, or 30 days before renewal. Your choice saves immediately.
The lead time is account-wide, not per subscription. See renewal reminders for details.
4

Review your spend summary

Your dashboard displays a Monthly Spend total and a Yearly Estimate at the top, plus a breakdown of your spend by billing cycle.
SubLedger converts every subscription to a monthly equivalent — dividing yearly costs by 12, quarterly by 3, and so on — then multiplies the monthly total by 12 for the yearly estimate. See spend summary for the full calculation.
