# Update your SubLedger profile and notifications

> Change your SubLedger display name, update your email address, and configure notification preferences including renewal reminder timing and delivery settings.

Your account settings let you keep your profile up to date and control how SubLedger communicates with you. You can change your name, update your email address, and adjust notification preferences — all from a single page.

## Accessing your settings

    Click your account name or avatar in the top navigation, then select **Settings**.

## Profile information

From the **Profile** section of your settings, you can update:

* **Name** — the display name associated with your account.
* **Email address** — the address SubLedger uses to send renewal reminders and account notifications.
* **Profile photo** — upload an image or paste an image URL. Your photo appears next to your name in the app navigation.

  If you change your email address, SubLedger will send a confirmation to your new address. The change takes effect once you confirm it.

## Password and security

You can change your password from the **Security** section of your settings. Enter your current password, then choose a new one.

If you've forgotten your password, click **Forgot password?** on the sign-in page. SubLedger sends a reset link to your account email — click it to set a new password.

  If you signed up with Google, you don't have a SubLedger password. Your sign-in is managed through your Google account.

## Notification preferences

SubLedger can notify you before a subscription renews so you're never caught off guard by an unexpected charge. From the **Notifications** section, you can:

* Turn renewal reminder emails on or off.
* Choose how far in advance you receive renewal reminders (for example, 3 days or 7 days before renewal).

  Enabling renewal reminders is one of the most effective ways to avoid paying for subscriptions you no longer use. SubLedger surfaces "Renewing soon" notices on your dashboard, and email reminders add a second layer of visibility.

## Saving your changes

After updating any setting, click **Save** to apply your changes. SubLedger confirms when your settings have been saved successfully.
