# Your data, privacy, and export options in SubLedger

> Learn how to export your SubLedger data, delete your account, and understand SubLedger's commitment to never selling your personal information to third parties.

Your data belongs to you. SubLedger is built on a privacy-first foundation — your subscription information is never sold to third parties, and you have full control to export or delete it at any time.

## SubLedger's privacy commitment

SubLedger collects only the information needed to operate the service: your subscription details, billing amounts, and account preferences. That data is used to power your dashboard and deliver renewal reminders — nothing more.

**SubLedger never sells your data.** Your subscription habits, spending patterns, and personal information are not shared with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes.

## Exporting your data

You can download a copy of your SubLedger data at any time. This export includes your subscription list, billing details, and account information in a portable format.

  <Step title="Open Account settings">
    Sign in at [app.mysubledger.com](https://app.mysubledger.com), then navigate to **Settings**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go to the Data section">
    Scroll to the **Data** section within your account settings.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Request your export">
    Click **Export my data**. SubLedger will prepare your export and either download it immediately or send it to your account email address.

<Tip>
  Exporting your data before you cancel is a good way to keep a personal record of the subscriptions you were tracking.

## Deleting your account

If you want to stop using SubLedger, you can permanently delete your account. Deleting your account removes all of your data from SubLedger's systems.

    Navigate to **Settings** from the top navigation.

  <Step title="Go to the Data section">
    Scroll to the **Data** section in your settings.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Delete your account">
    Click **Delete account** and confirm when prompted. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

<Warning>
  Account deletion is irreversible. All of your subscriptions, spend history, and account data will be permanently removed. Export your data first if you want to keep a copy.
